Ag Against Hunger is a clearinghouse for surplus crops in the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito. Surplus produce is collected by our organization and then distributed to food banks in the tri-county area, and then statewide and out-of-state when local food banks are satisfied. Over the past 15 years Ag Against Hunger has collected and distributed over 130 million pounds of produce. This produce goes to local food banks first, who make our fresh produce donations available to more than 400 nonprofit human service agencies and fed over 200,000 low-income people each month. |
