As a local, nonprofit organization, the Santa Cruz County Chapter of the American Red Cross aims to strengthen our community by helping individuals and families recover from disasters and prepare for and prevent them before they occur.The Santa Cruz County Chapter of the American Red Cross is an independent, nonprofit organization that depends upon the generosity of the American public for its financial support. We are not a government agency; therefore, voluntary contributions from our community are indispensable and allow us to anticipate and respond to disasters when time is of an essence.
